Role Description The Perfumer will work full time on-site in Ghaziabad, developing and refining fragrance compositions for personal care and related product categories. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating new perfume formulations, modifying existing scents based on client and market requirements, and conducting olfactory evaluations to ensure fragrance balance and stability. The role involves close collaboration with R&D and quality control teams to test performance in various bases, maintain detailed records of formula components, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety guidelines. The Perfumer will also support customer-facing teams by interpreting briefs, providing fragrance recommendations, and occasionally participating in technical discussions with clients or sales staff.
Qualifications
Strong customer service and client interaction skills, with the ability to understand and translate customer briefs into fragrance solutions.
Experience in quality control, including fragrance stability testing, batch evaluation, and adherence to internal and regulatory standards.
Background in research and development (R&D) for fragrances or related chemical formulations, with the ability to experiment, document, and optimize perfume compositions.
Sales awareness and the ability to support commercial teams with fragrance insights, product positioning, and market-oriented scent development.
Knowledge of personal care products (such as cosmetics, skincare, haircare, and hygiene items) and how fragrances perform in different bases.
Solid understanding of essential oils, aroma chemicals, and fragrance families, with strong olfactory skills and attention to detail.
Relevant education in chemistry, cosmetic science, perfumery, or a related field; formal perfumery training or certifications are an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Ghaziabad, manage multiple projects, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
