Independent Business Development Partner – Maritime Projects

INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIP
As part of its continued international growth, MARINETRA is seeking an experienced maritime professional to join its business development network as a long-term Independent Business Development Partner.
This opportunity is intended for a commercially minded professional with trusted relationships among shipowners, yacht owners, fleet managers, technical decision-makers or marine investors.
THE ROLE
The selected partner will:
Identify and qualify genuine maritime and yacht project opportunities
Establish direct access to relevant decision-makers
Understand the client’s initial requirements, priorities and timeframe
Introduce MARINETRA’s capabilities and support the relationship throughout the commercial process
Provide market intelligence and maintain professional follow-up
MARINETRA’S ROLE
MARINETRA works through an established network of shipyards, builders, naval architects, repair teams, manufacturers and specialist marine partners.
For each qualified and accepted opportunity, MARINETRA leads:
Technical and commercial requirement definition
Project scope and solution development
Shipyard, builder and specialist-team selection
Proposal preparation and commercial negotiation
Project execution follow-up, stakeholder coordination and reporting
Local representation in Türkiye when required
The originating partner remains involved as the relationship and business development lead, while MARINETRA provides the technical, commercial and project-coordination capability required to develop and deliver the project.
PROJECT AREAS
Commercial vessel repair, maintenance and conversion
Yacht refit, conversion and new-build projects
Tugboats and special-purpose vessels
Shipyard and specialist marine services
Vessel sale and purchase opportunities
Other commercially viable maritime projects
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
An established and credible network within the maritime or yachting sectors
Access to shipowners, yacht owners, fleet managers, investors or relevant decision-makers
Commercial awareness and the ability to recognise genuine project opportunities
Strong communication, relationship-management and professional follow-up skills
The ability to work independently within a long-term partnership structure
Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage
PARTNERSHIP STRUCTURE
This is a long-term, independent business development partnership rather than a conventional salaried role. Compensation is structured through project-specific success fees, agreed transparently according to the nature, scope and contribution of each opportunity.
