Role Description The Director of Portfolio Management is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the company’s portfolio of financial, consulting, and training programs and projects. This role manages the prioritization, alignment, and performance of initiatives across the firm to ensure they support strategic objectives and deliver measurable value to clients and the business. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating and selecting projects, monitoring portfolio risks and returns, optimizing resource allocation, and coordinating with service line leaders in accounting, tax, audit, advisory, and training. The Director will develop and refine portfolio management frameworks, performance indicators, and reporting tools, and will present insights and recommendations to senior leadership. The role also involves mentoring teams on portfolio and program management practices and supporting continuous improvement in financial and operational outcomes.
Qualifications
Strong financial and investment-related capabilities, including Finance and Portfolio Management skills.
Expertise in Project Portfolio Management and Program Management to oversee multiple initiatives and align them with organizational strategy.
Advanced Analytical Skills to assess project performance, financial impact, risk, and resource utilization.
Proven experience in a senior portfolio, program, or financial management role within consulting, financial services, or a related field.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on results, quality, and compliance.
Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP, PfMP) are an advantage.
Comfort working in a remote environment, using digital collaboration tools, and operating across diverse client and internal teams.
