Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode for a Video Creator, Video Editor & Social Media Manager at Academy of Excellence (AOE).
The role involves planning and shooting videos, editing raw footage into engaging content, and managing AOE’s social media platforms to strengthen its online presence. Responsibilities include creating educational videos, promotional content, Instagram Reels, YouTube videos, and other digital marketing materials. The candidate will handle video shoots, lighting, audio, color grading, motion graphics, graphic design, content planning, caption writing, scheduling posts, and monitoring social media engagement.
The role also requires collaborating with instructors, content creators, and the marketing team to develop creative ideas, cover academy events, promote courses, and maintain a consistent brand identity across platforms. The ideal candidate should stay updated with current social media trends, understand audience engagement, and be able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in video shooting, videography, and video editing for educational, promotional, and social media content.
- Experience in creating engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube videos, short-form videos, and promotional campaigns.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of camera operation, lighting, audio recording, composition, and color grading.
- Skills in motion graphics, graphic design, thumbnails, titles, and other visual elements.
- Experience in managing social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Ability to plan content calendars, write captions, schedule posts, and monitor audience engagement.
- Understanding of social media trends, content strategies, and digital marketing practices.
- Creativity, visual storytelling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to develop fresh content ideas.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with instructors and the marketing team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to feedback.
