Role Description The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for leading and supervising civil engineering activities on-site in Guwahati for a full-time position. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing design drawings, coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and contractors, and ensuring that construction works comply with design specifications, codes, and safety standards. The role involves planning project phases, monitoring progress, resolving technical issues, and providing guidance to junior engineers and site staff. The Senior Civil Engineer will also manage quality control, review material and workmanship, and support documentation, reporting, and communication with stakeholders. This is an on-site role requiring regular presence at project locations in and around Guwahati.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to interpret and develop structural and infrastructure plans.
Demonstrated experience working as part of a team of Civil Engineers, including mentoring junior engineers and coordinating multidisciplinary inputs.
Proficiency in Planning for infrastructure projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
Knowledge of Stormwater Management principles and related drainage design for urban and infrastructure projects.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Relevant on-site construction experience, preferably in bridges, highways, or major infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with Indian standards and codes, quality assurance practices, and safety regulations.
Ability to use engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, civil design tools) and standard MS Office applications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Willingness to work on-site in Guwahati and adapt to project-driven schedules and timelines.
