BidBegin is built for manufacturers, traders, scrap processors, and procurement and logistics teams across India to unlock significant cost savings and higher bidder participation.
Role Description The Auction Assistant role at BidBegin Technologies (P) Ltd. is a full-time remote position supporting the execution of online auctions and related procurement activities on the BidBegin platform. In this role, the Auction Assistant will help set up auction events, verify item and vendor details, and ensure accurate configuration of bidding rules across sales, purchase, and other modules. The role involves monitoring live auctions, responding to participant queries, and escalating issues to internal teams when needed to maintain smooth operations. The Auction Assistant will communicate with vendors and buyers through phone, email, and messaging channels, assist with onboarding and basic platform training, and support documentation of auction outcomes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining records, preparing summary reports, and collaborating with sales and operations teams to improve workflows and participant experience.
Qualifications
Experience with auctions and online auctions, preferably within B2B or procurement environments, and familiarity with competitive bidding processes.
Strong communication and customer service skills for interacting with vendors, buyers, and internal stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
Exposure to sales or inside sales activities, including assisting with lead follow-ups, explaining platform features, and supporting account growth.
Comfort with digital tools and SaaS platforms, including basic data entry, record-keeping, and use of messaging and collaboration tools.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple auctions or tasks simultaneously in a remote work setting.
Ability to learn new systems quickly, follow standard operating procedures, and contribute to process improvements.
Prior experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain support is an advantage.
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered.
