About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

About Paramverse
Paramverse is a Mumbai-headquartered agro-commodity trading group, founded in 1967, that has grown from a small venture into one of India's leading importers of premium pulses. It sources from agricultural leaders worldwide and works to close the gap between India's food demand and domestic supply, always within global trade norms and ethical standards.
Today the Group's ambition is wider than trading. Its stated vision is scalable, sustainable growth that strengthens the nation and shares prosperity with all stakeholders, and its mission is to build platforms of progress through innovation in agriculture, finance and technology. The Head of Capitalisation will fund and structure that next phase of growth across the Group's entities.
Role summary
The Head of Capitalisation owns Paramverse's capital strategy end to end, from long-term financial planning and capital structure to the direct raising and management of debt, equity and quasi-capital across Holdco, Bio, Resource and beyond.
This is a leadership role that combines strategic financial thinking with hands-on deal execution. You will personally structure, negotiate and close transactions, own the relationships behind them, and build an institutional capitalisation function for the Group from the ground up.
Key responsibilities
1. Strategic financial planning
Lead long-term financial planning and decision-making for the Group.
Align capital and financing strategy with business objectives and the growth trajectory of each entity.
2. Capital structure and financing strategy
Evaluate and select the right financing method (debt, equity or quasi-capital) for each entity.
Optimise the debt-equity balance to maximise company value.
Secure funds for ongoing operations and growth.
3. Capital management
Optimise the use of financial resources across the Group.
Assess current and future capital needs and plan for them proactively.
Maintain a real-time view of capital deployment and requirements.
4. Capital raising and investor sourcing
Lead direct capital formation across top nationalised banks, Indian HNI and family office networks, and offshore diaspora investors (GCC, Singapore, London).
Personally own these relationships, rather than routing through agents or distributors.
Structure and close debt, equity and structured-capital transactions across Holdco, Bio and Resource.
5. Mergers, acquisitions and due diligence
Lead M&A evaluation, structuring and due diligence for inorganic growth opportunities.
Assess the capital and financing impact of every prospective transaction.
6. IPO management
Drive pre-IPO capital structuring, readiness and execution.
Coordinate with legal, secretarial and merchant banking teams so that funding, shareholding and compliance align with IPO timelines.
7. Banking and financial institution relationships
Build and maintain senior relationships (MD, ED, Chairman level) with banks and financial institutions.
Convert those relationships into sanctioned facilities: working capital, term loans, and structured and asset-backed finance.
8. Stakeholder and investor relations
Own the investor communication cadence, reporting, DDQs and data rooms.
Build long-term trust with LPs, banks and HNI investors.
Act as the primary capital-facing voice for the Founder's office: capital memos, investment narratives and roadshow strategy.
Who you are
Experience: 12 to 25 years in corporate finance, private wealth, PSU or corporate banking, or family office leadership, with direct exposure to capital structuring and capital raising.
Track record: You have personally led ₹2,000 Cr+ in capital decisions or raises, and owned structuring and closure, not just execution support.
Relationships: You personally hold senior relationships across banks, HNIs and institutional investors.
Technical depth: Strong grounding in M&A due diligence, IPO readiness and capital structure optimisation.
Ways of working: AI-fluent, and comfortable using modern tools to compress planning and execution cycles.
Success profile
A senior, commercially sharp capital leader who thinks in capital structure and long-term financial strategy, yet operates with the hands-on discipline of someone who raises, structures and closes deals directly. Success means an institutional capitalisation function for the Group, built from the ground up.
