Role Description The Software Engineer Intern role is a full-time remote position focused on learning and contributing to the development of software solutions and web applications. On a day-to-day basis, the intern will assist in coding, debugging, and testing features under the guidance of senior engineers, primarily in back-end web development and core software components. The role includes collaborating with the engineering team on technical designs, writing clean and maintainable code, and participating in code reviews. The intern will also help document technical processes, research new tools and frameworks, and support the integration of software solutions for clients. This position offers hands-on experience in real projects while building practical skills in a supportive, learning-oriented environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles.
Practical skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#).
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to apply them to design and implement modular, reusable code.
Exposure to Back-End Web Development, such as working with APIs, databases, server-side frameworks, or cloud-based services.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Ability to learn quickly, follow technical guidance, and collaborate effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic software development workflows is beneficial.
