About the role
The Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Supervisor leads electrical and controls maintenance at a power-generation plant. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role plans and oversees work on electrical generation and distribution systems, instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), data-acquisition systems, and related equipment.
At Reworld, this work helps keep an essential facility safe and reliable while supporting our mission to recover value from waste. You’ll work closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering to strengthen preventive maintenance, resolve equipment problems, and develop the maintenance team.
You’ll supervise maintenance personnel, set daily work priorities, manage the backlog, coordinate planned and unplanned outages, and report on work completion and costs. You’ll also serve as a backup to the Maintenance Manager when needed. The plant operates 24/7, so scheduled on-call coverage and weekend, night, outage, or other assigned shifts may be required.
Core Activities and Responsibilities
Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly electrical and instrumentation maintenance work.
Supervise maintenance personnel, assign work, and provide technical and safety direction.
Coordinate priorities, equipment issues, and schedule changes with Operations.
Manage the maintenance backlog and report on work completion, productivity, and performance.
Develop, execute, and assess preventive maintenance activities.
Plan electrical and instrumentation jobs, including scope, labor, materials, time, and cost estimates.
Support maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical distribution equipment, PLCs, instrumentation, controls, and data-acquisition systems.
Coordinate maintenance work during outages and respond to changing plant conditions.
Use technical manuals and vendor resources to identify repair procedures and parts.
Identify opportunities to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and control repair costs.
Conduct safety audits, participate in safety programs, and assist with incident investigations.
Serve as a backup to the Maintenance Manager when needed.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of power-plant maintenance experience.
Hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical generation and distribution systems.
Experience with industrial PLCs, instrumentation and controls, and data-acquisition systems.
Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls used on industrial process equipment.
Experience supervising maintenance personnel and coordinating work with Operations.
Strong maintenance planning, scheduling, job execution, and backlog-management skills.
Experience using a computerized maintenance management system, such as Maximo or PeopleSoft.
Ability to prepare maintenance reports, spreadsheets, timesheets, and work records.
Ability to address employee performance and disciplinary matters professionally.
Project management and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) experience are preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to wear a full-face respirator while performing physical work.
Must be able to walk, stand, kneel, squat, and climb throughout an industrial plant.
Must be able to access multiple plant levels and enter boilers, with or without scaffolding, to inspect equipment and monitor work.
May assist with lifting or equipment repairs.
Must work safely in an operating power-generation environment and be available for scheduled on-call, weekend, night, outage, or other assigned shift coverage.

Pay Transparency
Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld’s reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $97,481.00 - $134,010.00
