$5,000 University of Waikato Sponsors’ Award
The University of Waikato Sponsors’ Award is a prestigious $5,000 scholarship designed to support individuals who demonstrate academic readiness and a strong commitment to Bay Venues and the University of Waikato. Bay Venues has 2x $5,000 scholarships available.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for nomination, applicants must:
Be a Bay Venues Employee at the time of the study year commencing in 2027.
Be a permanent Bay Venues for at least 6 months prior to Trimester A starting.
Be eligible for domestic tuition (NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Australian Citizen residing in NZ).
Be enrolled or intending to enrol in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Waikato Tauranga Campus (full-time or part-time).
Demonstrate alignment with the strategic goals of both Bay Venues and the University.
What the Award Covers
A total of $5,000, which may be allocated toward tuition fees, accommodation, or other approved study-related expenses.

Applications are reviewed by a panel against metrics to ensure fairness in scoring.
Nominations close on 13 November 2026 and winner communicated prior to 11 December 2026.
