About the Role
The Director of Global Operations is responsible for coordinating and improving the company’s global operating activities, ensuring consistency across regions, and supporting the effective execution of business priorities. This role works closely with executive leadership and regional managers to strengthen operational performance, improve cross-functional coordination, and establish scalable operating practices.
The Director will oversee global workflows, operational planning, resource coordination, performance monitoring, and process improvement initiatives. This position requires the ability to manage complex operational activities across multiple locations, establish clear procedures and accountability standards, and ensure that regional teams operate efficiently while supporting the company’s broader objectives.
The ideal candidate brings extensive professional experience with significant management and leadership experience, along with strong operational judgment, cross-cultural communication skills, and the ability to improve systems, coordinate distributed teams, and deliver measurable business results.
What You’ll Do
Global Operations Management
Coordinate global operating activities to support company priorities and business objectives.
Establish consistent operating procedures and performance standards across regional teams.
Monitor operational execution and address issues affecting productivity, quality, or service delivery.
Work with leadership to align regional operations with company-wide priorities.
Operational Planning and Execution
Translate business objectives into operational plans, timelines, responsibilities, and measurable targets.
Coordinate implementation of operational initiatives across departments and geographic regions.
Track progress against milestones and resolve execution bottlenecks.
Maintain clear reporting and escalation procedures for operational issues.
Process Improvement and Standardization
Review existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, duplicated efforts, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement standardized procedures that improve consistency and scalability.
Establish documentation, quality standards, and process review practices.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operational complexity and improve execution.
Cross-Regional Coordination
Facilitate collaboration between regional managers, functional leaders, and headquarters.
Improve communication and information sharing across geographically distributed teams.
Coordinate responses to regional operational challenges and competing business priorities.
Adapt global operating standards to local requirements while maintaining consistent business objectives.
Performance Management and Reporting
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational efficiency, service quality, and execution progress.
Analyze operational data and performance trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
Prepare regular reports for leadership on operational results, resource needs, and significant issues.
Recommend corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness.
Resource and Budget Coordination
Coordinate staffing, operational budgets, tools, and other resources across global activities.
Assess resource utilization and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency.
Work with Finance and department leaders to support budget planning and cost management.
Ensure that operational resources are aligned with business priorities and delivery requirements.
Risk Management and Business Continuity
Identify operational risks and dependencies that may affect global business activities.
Establish escalation procedures and coordinate mitigation plans with relevant teams.
Support business continuity planning and operational readiness.
Maintain appropriate documentation and controls to promote reliable and consistent operations.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead, support, and develop operations managers and team members across relevant functions.
Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability practices.
Encourage collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement.
Support the development of operational capabilities that can scale with the company’s growth.
Qualifications
Extensive professional experience in global operations, business operations, operational management, or a related function, with significant management and leadership experience.
Proven ability to coordinate operational activities across multiple regions, departments, or business units.
Demonstrated success improving workflows, standardizing procedures, and strengthening operational performance.
Strong understanding of operational planning, resource allocation, performance management, and process improvement.
Experience leading cross-functional projects and coordinating geographically distributed teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate operational data and recommend practical solutions.
Demonstrated ability to establish KPIs, reporting processes, and accountability frameworks.
Experience managing operational budgets, staffing requirements, and competing resource priorities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work across cultural and geographic boundaries.
Proven ability to identify operational risks and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a changing business environment.
Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution and operational accountability.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; an advanced degree is a plus.

Compensation Range
