Role Description The Vice President of Project Management is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for overseeing complex, cross-functional initiatives that support Wintermute’s content and community growth strategy. This role leads project and program planning, coordination, and execution across teams such as content, marketing, product, and operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining project scopes and timelines, managing budgets, prioritizing initiatives, and removing blockers to ensure successful delivery. The VP will establish and refine project management frameworks, monitor performance against key metrics, and report progress and risks to executive leadership. This role also mentors project managers, fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and aligns projects with strategic business goals and stakeholder expectations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including Project Planning and experience leading large, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Candidates should possess robust Program Management capabilities, with a track record of coordinating multiple related projects within broader strategic programs.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, evaluate trade-offs, and make evidence-based decisions.
Candidates should possess Budgeting expertise to manage project and program financials, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective delivery.
Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in project and program management, including several years in a senior or executive leadership role.
Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams, drive alignment among diverse stakeholders, and manage projects in a remote environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to executive and non-technical audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Agile/Scrum) are beneficial.
Experience in media, sports, digital content, or community-driven organizations is an advantage, along with a strong interest in basketball and sports culture.
