OCI Network Engineer

🚨 We’re Hiring: OCI Engineer – Cloud Architecture, Landing Zone & Network Security
📍 Remote | 💼 Project-Based / Contract | 🎓 Oracle Cloud Certification Preferred
We’re looking for a hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Engineer with end-to-end architecture and deployment expertise to design and build a secure, scalable OCI landing zone.
The role requires strong experience in OCI networking and deploying network security services, including firewalls and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), with a clear approach to high availability, resilience, and failover.
🔍 You Should Have:
✅ Strong architectural knowledge across OCI networking, compute, storage, identity, security, and governance
✅ Hands-on experience designing and deploying OCI landing zones from initial requirements through production handover
✅ Expertise in VCNs, subnets, routing, DRGs, security lists, Network Security Groups, and network segmentation
✅ Experience deploying OCI-native or third-party firewalls (Palo Alto and Fortigate) with HA, traffic inspection, routing, and failover
✅ Experience implementing WAF protection and secure application ingress
✅ Strong understanding of hybrid connectivity using VPN and FastConnect
✅ Ability to translate business, security, and availability requirements into a complete cloud architecture
🔧 What You’ll Do:
• Assess requirements and create the end-to-end OCI architecture and deployment plan
• Build an OCI landing zone covering tenancy structure, compartments, IAM, policies, tagging, and governance
• Design and deploy networking, connectivity, routing, segmentation, and shared services
• Deploy and configure firewalls, WAFs, load balancers, and supporting security controls
• Design HA and failover for applicable network and security components, accounting for service-specific capabilities
• Establish secure traffic flows for internet-facing applications, internal workloads, and on-premises connectivity
• Configure logging, monitoring, audit visibility, and operational alerts
• Validate connectivity, security policies, traffic inspection, and failover through practical testing
• Deliver architecture diagrams, deployment documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge transfer
