About the Project
NextGen University of Florida is seeking an experienced Moodle LMS Courseware Implementation Specialist, eLearning Instructional Designer, or professional Moodle implementation team to transform our existing Moodle course structures into fully functional, engaging, and professionally designed online university courses.
Our Moodle LMS is already established. Degree-program categories, course shells, and standardized 16-week academic structures have been created.
We will receive licensed, pre-developed university courseware from our academic content provider through Google Drive. Depending on the course, materials may include video lectures, PowerPoint presentations, PDFs, syllabi, reading materials, learning guides, quizzes, question banks, examinations, assignments, case studies, grading rubrics, faculty handbooks, and answer keys.
Our objective is to transform this supplied content into a complete, interactive, video-centered university learning experience comparable in functionality and usability to modern online learning platforms.
We require much more than file uploading. We are looking for someone who can take responsibility for the complete implementation process—from content review and learning experience configuration to testing, quality assurance, and final handover.
Key Responsibilities1. Courseware Implementation & Academic Structuring
Audit and organize supplied academic materials.
Map courseware to approved syllabi, learning outcomes, and weekly teaching structures.
Populate and configure existing Moodle course shells and 16-week templates.
Organize video lectures, readings, presentations, learning guides, and activities into clearly structured weekly modules.
Maintain approved course codes, titles, academic sequencing, and curriculum requirements.
Identify and report missing, incomplete, or inconsistent source materials.
2. Interactive Learning Experience & Course Design
Create a professional, intuitive, video-centered learning experience within Moodle.
Organize individual video lessons with appropriate titles, descriptions, and navigation.
Configure learning pathways, activity completion, progress tracking, and relevant access restrictions.
Implement discussion forums, interactive learning activities, and student engagement features.
Improve course presentation using native Moodle functionality and, where justified, compatible themes or plugins.
Ensure consistent, responsive, accessible, and user-friendly course layouts.
The objective is to achieve a high-quality modern learning experience within our existing Moodle environment—not unnecessarily rebuild the platform or reproduce another platform's proprietary interface.
3. Assessments, Assignments & Gradebook Configuration
Import and configure question banks, quizzes, examinations, and assignments.
Support multiple-choice, true/false, scenario-based, short-answer, and other applicable assessment formats.
Configure assignment submission workflows, grading rubrics, instructor feedback, and assessment restrictions.
Set up weighted gradebooks, grading categories, calculations, and completion requirements.
Implement approved midterm and final examination activities.
Validate assessment settings, answer keys, grading calculations, and faculty workflows.
4. Faculty, Student & System Configuration
Organize student-facing resources and restricted instructor-only materials.
Protect faculty manuals, examination solutions, question banks, and confidential answer keys.
Configure appropriate course-level permissions, student activities, and instructor workflows.
Preserve existing course identifiers, user roles, and enrollment processes.
Coordinate with our technical team to verify compatibility with the existing Moodle–Gibbon SIS environment.
Avoid unauthorized changes to hosting, authentication, integration settings, or core LMS configurations.
5. Quality Assurance, Testing & Handover
Test courses from both student and faculty perspectives.
Verify videos, readings, quizzes, assignments, navigation, and learning progress functionality.
Validate gradebook calculations and assessment completion rules.
Confirm that students cannot access restricted faculty materials.
Test course enrollment and role functionality without disrupting existing system integrations.
Resolve identified implementation defects.
Deliver restorable Moodle course backups, implementation documentation, and administrator/faculty handover.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of practical Moodle LMS course implementation experience.
Proven experience transforming pre-existing academic materials into complete, operational Moodle courses.
Strong knowledge of Moodle activities, assignments, quizzes, question banks, gradebooks, roles, and completion tracking.
Experience designing structured, engaging, video-based learning experiences.
Practical understanding of instructional design principles and online teaching workflows.
Experience configuring multi-week academic courses, preferably at university level.
Familiarity with SCORM, H5P, and common eLearning content formats.
Ability to deliver multiple courses using consistent academic templates and quality standards.
Strong problem-solving, documentation, and quality assurance skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing complete 12–16-week university courses.
Higher education or institutional Moodle project experience.
Moodle course interface enhancement and theme configuration expertise.
Experience with Gibbon SIS or other student information systems.
Experience managing bulk courseware implementation projects.
Experience providing administrator or faculty training.
Expected Deliverables & Acceptance Standards
Each completed course must include, as applicable to the supplied content and approved academic requirements:
A fully populated and professionally structured 16-week Moodle course.
Properly organized video lessons, readings, presentations, and learning activities.
Functional quizzes, examinations, question banks, and assignment submissions.
Correctly configured gradebooks, assessment weightings, rubrics, and progress tracking.
Secure separation of student and faculty resources.
Consistent, user-friendly course navigation and presentation.
Successful student and faculty testing, including verification of existing enrollment workflows.
A source-material reconciliation checklist and documented content gaps.
A verified, restorable Moodle course backup, configuration documentation, and handover.
Correction of identified implementation defects before final acceptance.
Completion means a course is operationally tested and ready for university academic review—not merely that its files have been uploaded.
Missing academic content must be reported for university review. Contractors must not independently rewrite approved curricula or invent replacement academic materials without authorization.
All licensed materials must be handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable content-license restrictions. Unauthorized redistribution, subcontracting, or uploading restricted courseware to external AI or third-party services is prohibited.
Important Project Clarification
This is NOT a new Moodle installation, website development, LMS replacement, or academic content-writing project.
Our existing LMS infrastructure and course structures should be retained and utilized.
The primary assignment is end-to-end Moodle courseware implementation, instructional configuration, learning experience enhancement, assessment setup, quality assurance, and handover.
Any substantial custom development, new plugins, advanced multimedia production, or special SCORM conversion must be identified and quoted separately before approval.
How to Apply
We welcome applications from experienced Moodle professionals, instructional designers, freelance specialists, and established eLearning implementation teams in Bangladesh and internationally.
Please submit the following:
1. Portfolio & Experience
Examples, screenshots, or demonstrations of complete Moodle courses you have previously implemented, ideally for universities or higher education institutions.
2. Technical Demonstration
Evidence of video-based lessons, assessments, gradebook configuration, learner progress tracking, and professional student navigation.
3. Implementation Methodology
A brief explanation of how you would transform vendor-supplied Google Drive materials into a complete 16-week course using existing Moodle templates.
4. Commercial Proposal
Your estimated fixed price for implementing one complete 16-week university course, including assessments, testing, documentation, and handover.
Please identify any separate costs for complex question-bank conversion, SCORM development, interface customization, or other optional services.
5. Bulk Pricing & Delivery Capacity
