Safety Officer

Company Description Trend Technologies India is a manufacturing solutions provider serving automotive, digital home and office, enterprise, and industrial markets. The company offers hard and soft tool metal stamping and fabrication, powder painting, welding, decorating, and value-added assembly services. Its facilities include a fully equipped tool room, manual and automated stamping presses ranging from 60 to 300 tons, NC turret press, press brakes, and a variety of secondary operation equipment. Trend Technologies India also provides tool and die design and manufacturing, as well as program management services, supporting end-to-end production for global customers.
Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. The Safety Officer will oversee workplace health and safety programs, conduct regular inspections of production areas, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Daily tasks include identifying hazards, coordinating risk assessments, maintaining safety documentation, and supporting incident and accident investigations. The role involves planning and delivering safety training sessions, collaborating with operations and HR teams to implement corrective actions, and promoting a culture of safety across the facility. The Safety Officer will also coordinate with security personnel to support safe access control and emergency response procedures.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Occupational Health principles, with the ability to implement and monitor workplace safety programs.
Experience in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, incident reporting, and corrective action planning.
Understanding of Security practices related to manufacturing environments, including access control and emergency preparedness.
Ability to design and deliver Safety Training for diverse teams, including shop floor and office personnel.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are preferred.
Familiarity with local and national safety regulations applicable to industrial and manufacturing operations.
Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills, with the ability to influence safe behaviors at all levels.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is an advantage.
