Senior Application Development Specialist

Location: Mexico — preferably Mexico City / Estado de México, but open to exceptional candidates elsewhere in Mexico
Travel: Must be willing to travel periodically to Los Angeles / United States with the founder and project team

Role mission
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Product Engineer who can own product execution across mobile, web, frontend and backend.
This person will help build an innovative AI-powered healthcare platform consisting of a consumer-facing mobile experience and a web platform used by dental practices.
This is not a narrowly defined frontend or backend position. We are looking for someone who enjoys owning an entire product experience — understanding the workflow, building the interface, connecting APIs, solving backend problems, integrating AI services and shipping working software quickly.
The ideal person thinks like a product builder rather than a ticket-driven developer.
What this person will own
Consumer mobile application development and evolution.
OroView360 web platform for dental practices.
Responsive/mobile-web experiences used for rapid prototyping and validation.
React / Next.js web applications.
Mobile development, preferably Swift/iOS and/or React Native/Flutter experience.
Backend APIs and application services.
Integration between mobile, web, backend and AI services.
Authentication, roles, workflows and application state.
Real-time or event-driven interactions between consumer and practice experiences.
Integration with scheduling, messaging and external healthcare/practice systems.
Performance, reliability and application-level security.
Rapid prototyping using modern AI-assisted engineering tools.
Converting product requirements and prototypes into production-quality software.
Working directly with the founder, product stakeholders, architects and AI engineers.
Required background
Strong full-stack engineering experience.
Excellent React and modern TypeScript/JavaScript experience.
Strong backend development skills in Python, Node.js or comparable modern backend stack.
Experience building APIs and integrating third-party services.
Mobile development experience.
Strong understanding of databases and application data modeling.
Comfortable working across frontend, backend and infrastructure boundaries.
Experience taking products from prototype to production.
Strong Git, CI/CD and modern software-development practices.
Ability to independently investigate and solve complex technical issues.
Strong advantages
Swift / SwiftUI / AVFoundation experience.
Next.js.
Python / FastAPI.
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
AI/LLM/VLM API integrations.
Healthcare or regulated-industry experience.
Event-driven architecture.
