Role Description The Vice President of Engineering at Amundi BT is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the engineering organization and setting the technical vision and strategy. This role oversees multiple engineering teams, ensuring high-quality software delivery, effective resource allocation, and alignment with product and business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring engineering leaders, establishing best practices, managing project and development roadmaps, and collaborating closely with product, operations, and executive leadership. The VP of Engineering will drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, champion modern development methodologies, and ensure that technology decisions support long-term scalability and performance. This role also involves defining and tracking key performance metrics, building a culture of accountability, and supporting recruitment, retention, and professional development across the engineering function.
Qualifications
Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills to guide multiple teams, develop leaders, and build a high-performance engineering culture.
Software Development experience with modern technologies, architectures, and best practices to make informed technical decisions.
Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and delivery tracking for complex initiatives.
Product Development skills to collaborate with product partners, shape roadmaps, and align engineering output with business goals.
Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role (e.g., Director or VP) within a technology-driven organization.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
Experience implementing scalable processes, CI/CD pipelines, quality standards, and metrics-driven performance management.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
