Role Description The Senior Software Engineer role is a full-time, remote position responsible for designing, building, and maintaining core services and features that power Pixoate’s AI-driven visual platform. This role involves architecting scalable back-end systems, implementing robust APIs, and integrating AI and image-processing services to support high-volume content workflows. The engineer will collaborate with product, design, and other engineering team members to refine requirements, deliver new functionality, and improve performance and reliability across the platform. Daily tasks include writing clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews, optimizing existing services, and contributing to technical decisions and best practices. The Senior Software Engineer will also mentor other engineers, help improve development processes, and ensure high standards for security, availability, and quality.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
Experience in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, building scalable, secure, and resilient services.
Proficiency in Programming with modern languages commonly used for web services (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go, or similar).
Solid understanding and practical experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and related design patterns.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly beneficial.
Knowledge of API design (REST or GraphQL), databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), and performance optimization techniques.
Background in or interest in AI, image processing, or high-volume content workflows is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
