Role Description The General Manager (GM) will oversee day-to-day operations, including production, procurement, sales, and logistics, ensuring smooth functioning of all business units. This full-time, on-site role is based in Nagpur and involves leading cross-functional teams, setting performance targets, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. The GM will develop and execute business strategies, manage budgets, monitor key performance indicators, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability. The role includes building and maintaining relationships with key customers, vendors, and stakeholders, as well as mentoring team members and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Qualifications
Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
Proficiency in operations management, supply chain oversight, and process optimization within manufacturing or agro-related industries.
Experience in business planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and performance monitoring to support data-driven decisions.
Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills for working with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Knowledge of agricultural markets, trading practices, and relevant regulatory and compliance requirements is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably as a GM or similar position in agro, manufacturing, or trading organizations.
Ability to work on-site in Nagpur, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
