Right of Way Agent

RIGHT OF WAY AGENT — UTAH / NEVADA
Contract | Remote with some travel required | $65 per hour
Impact Land is seeking a Right of Way Agent to support landowner outreach, property research, and acquisition of land rights for projects in Utah and Nevada. This role combines relationship building, negotiation, careful documentation, and coordination with project teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify property owners and review ownership records, parcel information, maps, and legal descriptions.
• Explain project needs to landowners and maintain clear records of contacts, questions, commitments, and next steps.
• Negotiate easements, access agreements, and other land rights within approved commercial terms and delegated authority.
• Coordinate with title, survey, legal, and project teams to resolve ownership and documentation questions.
• Prepare complete acquisition files and track agreement status, outstanding issues, and deadlines.
• Support execution and recording workflows and provide accurate progress reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Relevant right of way, land acquisition, or easement negotiation experience.
• Ability to interpret property records, maps, and legal descriptions and identify issues requiring specialist review.
• Strong landowner communication, negotiation, and written documentation skills.
• Experience organizing multiple parcels, stakeholders, and deadlines.
• Utah or Nevada project experience preferred; relevant energy, utility, or infrastructure experience is a plus.
• Ability to work remotely and travel as needed for project work.
