What Opportunities May Involve | Ka Aha Koe?
Future planning opportunities may include:
Processing and assessing resource consent applications.
Providing planning advice to applicants, staff, elected members, and the wider community.
Supporting the development and implementation of the District Plan and other planning policies.
Monitoring compliance with resource consents and undertaking enforcement activities where required.
Participating in hearings, mediation, and regulatory processes.
Contributing to strategic projects that help shape the future of the district.
Who Are You? | Ko Wai Koe?
We welcome expressions of interest from people with a range of skills and experience, including those who:
Hold a tertiary qualification in Planning or a related discipline or are currently working towards one.
Have knowledge of, or an interest in, resource management and local government planning.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Have strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
Take a collaborative and customer-focused approach to their work.
Experience working within planning, resource management, local government, or a related field.
NZPI membership or eligibility for membership.
