Role Description The Paper Bag Packaging Industry Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvannamalai. This role oversees end-to-end packaging operations, including production planning, workflow management, and coordination with design and engineering teams to ensure efficient manufacturing of paper bags. The manager monitors quality standards, supervises packing processes, and implements continuous improvement initiatives to optimize output and reduce waste. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with sales and customer service teams on custom orders, ensuring timely delivery, managing inventory and raw materials, and enforcing safety and compliance guidelines. The role also involves analyzing production data, supporting R&D efforts for new packaging solutions, and leading a multidisciplinary team to achieve operational and sustainability goals.
Qualifications
Strong practical skills and experience in packing and production-floor supervision within a packaging or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in packaging design and customization, with the ability to translate client requirements into efficient, scalable paper bag solutions.
Knowledge of packaging engineering principles, machinery operation, and process optimization for high-volume paper bag manufacturing.
Experience in quality control, including setting quality benchmarks, conducting inspections, and implementing corrective actions.
Ability to conduct research on materials, sustainable packaging trends, and process improvements to support innovation and competitiveness.
Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in packaging technology, mechanical/industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on safety and compliance.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Experience in sustainable or eco-friendly packaging and familiarity with environmental standards and regulations is an advantage.
