About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Busy Bees is a leading global early learning provider, offering high-quality education in nurturing, purpose-built centres where educators are supported to grow, lead and make a real difference in children's lives, with over 130 centres across Australia and around 3,000 employees.
We’re looking for a driven and analytical Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team in Nundah. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys going beyond the numbers, turning financial data into meaningful insights and partnering with stakeholders to support better business decisions.
You’ll work closely with experienced finance professionals and stakeholders across the organisation, gaining broad exposure to financial planning, reporting, analysis and commercial projects within a growing national business.
What you'll do
Prepare financial reporting, analysis and insights for key stakeholders and leadership.
Support month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
Maintain reporting systems including PBCS and Monthly Board Reporting.
Analyse trends, variances and business performance to identify opportunities and risks.
Support statutory reporting, cash flow, CapEx forecasting and centre incentive calculations.
Partner with the FP&A team on ad hoc analysis, reporting and commercial projects that support business performance and strategic priorities.
What you'll bring
2–3 years' experience in a Financial Analyst or similar corporate finance role.
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business or related discipline.
Experience with enterprise ERP systems — NetSuite experience highly regarded.
Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Power BI, Tableau or similar experience highly regarded.
CPA/CA or progress towards qualification advantageous.
A genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing, and alignment to our Busy Bees values.
Why Busy Bees?
Because we offer the B.E.E.S. advantage:
Better pay. Everyday balance. Education for growth. Support you can rely on.
We live by our values of Care, Quality, Service and Value to make a real impact on child safety and quality.
Nundah location — modern office, close to shops, cafés, street parking, train station and bus stops.
Work from home 1 day per week, with flexibility around start and finish times.
Join a highly experienced Finance team that’s supportive, collaborative and genuinely enjoys working together.
50% childcare gap-fee discounts for permanent staff, because your family should benefit too.
Join a global organisation with a local feel, where child safety, wellbeing and quality are never compromised.
Hands-on leadership, strong tenure and a culture built on trust, respect and collaboration.
Employment is conditional on satisfactory, rigorous pre-employment checks (including WWCC, ID, Qualifications, Gecko Training, Work Rights & References) and child safety training, reflecting our strong commitment to safeguarding, equity, diversity and inclusion.
We are proud to be a child safe organisation, putting child safety at the heart of everything we do through our Triple Layer Child Safety Framework: trusted, trained and caring people, safe, supervised and supportive environments, and clear, consistent and transparent processes.
Why Work for Busy Bees?
If you’re passionate about early learning, Busy Bees is the place to be. Although we are part of a global organisation, our company was founded by three families looking for better, more enriching childcare. Three decades later, we still keep the same values at heart.
We know that we couldn’t do what we do without the important people in our teams. We invest in our people and work with them to build career pathways that inspire.
