Role Description The Director of Credit Trading Technology is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of technology platforms that support credit trading activities. This role oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of trading technology solutions, including requirements gathering, architecture, implementation, testing, and continuous enhancement. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with trading, risk, and finance teams to understand workflows; building tools and systems that improve pricing, execution, and risk monitoring; and ensuring robust data integration and system reliability. The director will manage vendors and technical partners, establish best practices for system governance, and maintain strong cybersecurity and compliance standards. The role also involves mentoring technical team members, prioritizing development roadmaps, and using analytics to improve performance, scalability, and user experience across credit trading platforms.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Credit Management and Underwriting, with experience designing or supporting systems that evaluate credit risk and monitor exposures.
Advanced Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge, including proficiency in interpreting market data, credit instruments, and performance metrics for trading-related decisions.
Solid understanding of Accounting principles and financial reporting, enabling effective integration of trading systems with risk, finance, and back-office processes.
Experience leading technology initiatives in trading, credit, or financial markets, including system architecture, data integration, and automation of trading workflows.
Proficiency with relevant tools and technologies (e.g., trading platforms, market data feeds, databases, APIs, and scripting languages) and familiarity with cloud-based infrastructures.
Demonstrated ability to work remotely with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage projects to delivery deadlines.
Proven leadership skills, including team management, mentoring, and stakeholder alignment, with a focus on inclusive and collaborative practices.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
Experience in credit trading, fixed income markets, or financial technology environments is highly beneficial.
