Principal Software Engineer
We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer to collaborate with our Tech Lead in leading the development team to build a greenfield, high throughput, and high-performance cloud-first application.

What you will do:
Work alongside our Tech Lead, leading a team of full-stack developers in a green field software project from scratch.
You are responsible for solving the most complex problems in a very high performant and high-risk environment
You have enough diverse experience to foresee upcoming problems and the possible solutions
Lead technical design sessions and perform research for technical solutions for short-term projects
Understand and enforce the coding culture and always try your best to improve it
Lead planning sessions for short-term projects
You know how to put everyone’s time to best use efficiently. Also, ensure plans fit into the overall technical, strategic development, and vision of the project
Lead estimating sessions for short-term projects and ensure all stakeholders understand their role, timing, and outcomes.
You ensure the team meets the estimations provided.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Experience:
10+ years of commercial experience in software development
10+ years of experience with C# and .Net Framework
5+ years in an agile environment
Proven experience in leading a team of 2+ for more than 3 years
Technical Skills:
5+ years experience in an agile environment
Solid knowledge in .Net for Backend (desirable experience with Python)
Proven knowledge of Frontend frameworks (Windows applications, Blazor, Angular, React)
Solid understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and Micro Services
Strong database skills (Entity Framework, SQL, NoSQL) and Mongo DB.
Solid understanding of web application environments and development tools, event-driven application development, session state management, web configuration, and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies.
Expert in utilizing modern design patterns
Soft Skills:
Great communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to multiple product or system deliveries
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM Philippine Time / 6:00 AM-2:00 PM during Australian Daylight Saving Time (AEDT)
Work Setup: Fully remote
Employment Type: Full-Time Independent Contractor.
Note: As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for managing your own taxes and benefits. While this role does not include paid leave, you are free to take time off as needed. Please also note that you will be required to provide your own equipment.
