Role Description The Online French Trainer will deliver live, interactive French lessons to learners at various proficiency levels through virtual classroom platforms. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans aligned with course objectives, teaching general and exam-oriented French (e.g., TEF, DELF, TCF), assessing learner progress, and providing constructive feedback. The trainer will adapt teaching materials to individual and group needs, maintain accurate records of attendance and performance, and collaborate with the academy to refine curricula and teaching resources. The role also involves supporting learners with homework, exam strategies, and language practice activities to enhance speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. This is a remote role, offering flexibility to work from any location with a reliable internet connection.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in French Teaching and general Teaching, with the ability to instruct learners across beginner to advanced levels.
Candidates should possess skills in Tutoring and Education, including experience providing individualized support and adapting instruction to different learning styles.
Candidates should possess experience or interest in Teacher Training, contributing to the improvement of teaching methods and sharing best practices with colleagues.
Advanced proficiency in French (C1 or above) and clear communication skills in English for international learners.
Relevant degree or certification in French language, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; official exam preparation experience (TEF, DELF, TCF) is an advantage.
Comfort with online teaching tools, learning management systems, and video conferencing platforms, along with a stable internet connection and suitable home working environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a learner-centered approach that encourages participation and confidence.
Availability to teach across different time zones and a professional commitment to punctuality, lesson preparation, and continuous improvement.
