Role Description The BIM Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Damascus, responsible for managing and coordinating BIM models across multidisciplinary project teams. This role involves overseeing model creation and updates, ensuring compliance with project standards and BIM execution plans, and resolving coordination issues between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. The BIM Coordinator will work closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to support clash detection, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare model-based deliverables. Day-to-day tasks also include supporting digital workflows, assisting with data extraction and reporting, and contributing to continuous improvement of BIM processes and templates.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in BIM Coordination and Building Information Modeling (BIM), including model management and clash detection.
Candidates should possess fundamental knowledge of Architecture and related building design principles in a multidisciplinary environment.
Candidates should possess experience working with Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) models and coordinating them with other disciplines.
Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, task tracking, and coordination with stakeholders.
Proficiency in industry-standard BIM tools (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360 or similar platforms) is highly beneficial.
Relevant technical degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams are required.
Experience with ISO 19650-compliant workflows and digital delivery standards is an advantage.
