Role Overview
In this role, you will leverage data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to develop analytical solutions that improve workforce management and operational efficiency. You will work with complex human resources and timekeeping datasets to identify patterns, validate records, and detect anomalies in employee schedules and attendance. Using Python, SQL, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques, you will transform raw data into actionable insights and automated processes. You will also contribute to AI-driven initiatives involving generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Working at the intersection of technology and business, you will collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions. Accountabilities
Identify target employee populations by applying filters in HR systems, considering employment relationships, work arrangements, organizational departments, and assignment or secondment status.
Extract and analyze workforce data, including working hours, absences, attendance, employee substitutions, and timekeeping records for defined reference periods.
Combine system configuration data to construct unique identifiers for each employee's work schedule plan.
Project daily work schedules based on shift-cycle logic, ensuring that expected schedules accurately reflect applicable working patterns.
Apply data exclusion and eligibility rules to ensure that only relevant and valid records are included in analyses.
Compare expected records against existing system entries to identify required additions, updates, maintenance actions, and access restrictions.
Coordinate with IT teams to initiate and support the execution of bulk data entries and system updates.
Consolidate timekeeping records into corresponding clock-in and clock-out pairs to support chronological analysis and validation.
Detect anomalous patterns in special working arrangements, including recurring daytime schedules and weekend days off, and investigate potential inconsistencies.
Develop data processing scripts, automation workflows, and analytical solutions using Python and SQL to improve data quality and operational efficiency.
Apply statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
Explore opportunities to apply generative AI, LLMs, and RAG-based solutions to business challenges and analytical workflows.
Communicate findings, technical requirements, and recommendations to IT teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment between operational needs and technical implementation.
Requirements
A completed bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education qualification in a technology-related field.
Strong Python skills, including data manipulation, automation, and the development of analytical solutions.
Proficiency in SQL for extracting, transforming, and analyzing data from relational databases.
Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques applied to data analysis and predictive problem-solving.
Experience with machine learning and data visualization libraries, particularly Scikit-learn, Streamlit, and Matplotlib/Pyplot.
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Understanding of natural language processing (NLP), generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS and Microsoft Azure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex datasets, identify inconsistencies, and develop reliable data-driven solutions.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
Clear communication skills and the ability to explain analytical findings and technical concepts to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
Nice To Have
Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph.
Experience designing, developing, or integrating chatbots and conversational AI applications.
Experience collaborating with technical departments and serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.
Ability to present analytical results, insights, and recommendations to non-technical audiences.
Experience automating data-intensive business processes and developing scalable AI-powered applications.
