We are seeking a talented Senior Automation Tester with expertise in Java to join our team.
In this position, you will play a key role in creating, improving, and managing automated test scripts for functional, integration, and regression testing. Collaboration with developers and DevOps teams will be essential to embedding automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline and delivering high-quality software applications.
Responsibilities
Write functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
Automate the test cases for regression testing, functional testing, smoke testing
Plan and execute automation tasks and ensure testing standards are followed within the team
Integrate test cycles with the DevOps pipeline
Work creatively and efficiently in troubleshooting and resolving system issues
Automate testing for back-end services (REST APIs)
Document and report defects
Manage test data and test environments
Maintain test script version control
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar; Master's degree in Computer Science
3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 2+ years in test automation or a combination of development and testing experience
Strong experience in REST & SOAP API testing using tools like SOAPUI and Groovy Scripting
Proficiency in writing and maintaining automation scripts to meet acceptance criteria
Hands-on experience with Selenium or similar automation tools
Experience with Cucumber
Knowledge of Java
Experience working in Agile methodologies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
Proficiency in functional, integration, and regression testing
Experience in writing unit tests covering edge cases, usability, and general reliability
Knowledge of manual testing on a good level
Experience integrating test suites with CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications in documentation and English proficiency (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have
Background in CI/CD practices
Skills in Apache Maven and Gradle
Familiarity with Mainframe
