Chief Technology Officer

Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for setting and executing the company’s overall technology vision and strategy. On a day-to-day basis, the CTO leads software development teams, oversees system architecture decisions, and ensures that engineering practices align with product and business goals. This role collaborates closely with executive leadership to define technology roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and balance innovation with reliability and security. The CTO guides product development from concept to deployment, establishes development standards, and manages technology budgets and vendor relationships. The position also involves mentoring technical leaders, implementing best practices for project delivery, and monitoring technology performance, risks, and compliance.
Qualifications
Strong Software Development background with hands-on experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex applications.
Proven Project Management skills, including planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and cross-functional coordination.
Demonstrated ability in IT Strategy and Technology Leadership, aligning technical initiatives with business objectives.
Expertise in Architecture and systems design, including scalable, secure, and cloud-based solutions.
Experience in Product Development, working closely with product and business stakeholders to define and deliver technology-driven products.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
Track record of building and mentoring high-performing, diverse, and inclusive technology teams.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, DevOps practices, and modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, CI/CD).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in executive-level technology roles or senior engineering leadership positions is highly beneficial.
