Quantity Surveyor

Role Description The Quantity Surveyor will work in a part-time, remote capacity, supporting residential construction projects from early planning through completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), developing cost estimates, and assisting in cost planning for new and ongoing projects. The role involves monitoring project costs, updating cost reports, and supporting cost control measures to keep projects within budget. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with project managers, designers, and suppliers to verify quantities, analyze pricing, and provide clear, data-driven recommendations. This position also requires maintaining accurate documentation, supporting contract administration, and contributing to continuous improvement of cost management processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Cost Control and Cost Management skills to support budget adherence and financial oversight.
Candidates should possess experience with BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs for residential construction projects.
Candidates should possess capabilities in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting to forecast expenditures and communicate project financial status.
Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field are beneficial.
Proficiency with spreadsheets and cost estimation software, along with strong analytical and numerical skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate remotely with diverse project teams.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a part-time schedule.
