The Machine Learning Engineer Intern will support the design, development, and optimization of models powering VaniAgent.com’s AI voice agents in a remote work setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include experimenting with machine learning and deep learning architectures for NLP, ASR, and TTS, implementing and evaluating algorithms for conversational AI, and performing data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model training. The intern will collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate models into production systems, improve speech recognition accuracy, and enhance dialogue quality and agent performance. Additional tasks may include building prototypes, conducting model benchmarking, monitoring model behavior, and documenting experiments and results. This is an internship role, suitable for individuals seeking hands-on experience in applied machine learning and voice AI.

Strong foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms, with the ability to design efficient, scalable solutions.
Knowledge of Pattern Recognition and Statistics to analyze data, build robust models, and evaluate performance.
Understanding of Neural Networks and modern machine learning techniques, including deep learning for NLP and speech tasks.
Experience or coursework in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or related fields (e.g., ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow).
Proficiency in a programming language commonly used in ML (e.g., Python) and familiarity with data processing libraries (NumPy, pandas, etc.).
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Interest in voice assistants, conversational AI, speech analytics, and Generative AI; prior project or research experience in these areas is a plus.
