Role description
About the Department
The Corporate Finance department manages TresVista's financial, funding and investment decisions across the group's entities in the US, UK, India and Singapore. It focuses on increasing shareholder value through sound short- and long-term financial planning, efficient use of capital, strong governance and close work with Senior Management on strategic projects.
Role Overview
The Head of Treasury leads the group's treasury function from start to finish. This covers liquidity, cash management, funding, FX and interest-rate risk, investment of surplus cash, banking relationships and treasury governance. The role works closely with the CFO, Board and Audit Committee. It is responsible for making sure the group has enough liquidity at all times, protecting capital and managing financial risk within approved policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cash and Liquidity Management
Own group-wide cash and liquidity planning so every entity has enough money for operations, debt payments, taxes and contingencies.
Prepare and maintain the 13-week rolling cash forecast, along with medium- and long-term cash flow projections, and track actuals against forecast.
Set and monitor minimum liquidity buffers. Run regular stress tests and scenario analysis (revenue, FX, collections).
Improve how cash is positioned across entities and geographies, including cash pooling and intercompany funding where it makes sense.
Improve working capital with Business Finance, AR and AP teams (collections, payment terms, DSO/DPO).
2. Banking and Cash Operations
Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions across all geographies, and keep the Approved Bank List up to date.
Oversee opening, closing and maintenance of bank accounts, signatory mandates, payment approvals and fund transfers.
Make sure bank reconciliations are completed on time and treasury entries are accurately recorded in the GL.
Negotiate banking fees, facilities and service terms.
3. Funding, Capital Structure and Debt Management
Advise on the group's capital structure, funding strategy and debt programmes.
Lead debt raising, refinancing and lender negotiations. Manage lender reporting and covenant compliance.
Plan intercompany loans, capital infusions, dividend upstreaming and repatriation routes so that tax leakage is kept to a minimum.
Support equity fundraising, M&A, group restructuring and related financial modelling.
4. Financial Risk Management
Identify, measure and manage FX, interest-rate, liquidity and counterparty risk.
Design and run hedging strategies (forwards, options and similar instruments) for identified underlying exposures only, with no speculative positions.
Work with Accounting on hedge documentation and hedge accounting under the applicable frameworks (Ind AS / IFRS / US GAAP).
Monitor counterparty and concentration limits for banks, funds and issuers.
5. Investment of Surplus Funds
Invest surplus cash in line with the Treasury Policy, with priority on capital preservation, then liquidity, then yield.
Monitor portfolio performance, limit usage and mark-to-market positions, and recommend changes to the investment approach.
6. Treasury Governance, Policy and Compliance
Own, implement and review the group Treasury Policy and entity-level sub-policies regularly.
Maintain strong internal controls, including segregation of duties, maker-checker, delegation of authority and audit trails.
Ensure compliance with FEMA/RBI rules (ODI, ECB, FC-GPR, FLA filings and similar), Companies Act requirements, and treasury-related regulations in the US, UK and Singapore.
Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors, tax advisors and legal counsel on treasury matters. Keep exceptions and incidents on record.
7. Reporting and Stakeholder Management
Prepare treasury reports for the CFO, Audit Committee and Board, covering cash position, forecasts, hedge inventory, covenant compliance, investment portfolio and stress tests.
Build and track treasury KPIs and dashboards.
Present treasury strategy and recommendations to Senior Management and the Board.
8. Treasury Systems and Automation
Lead the selection, implementation and improvement of treasury management systems, bank integrations and ERP treasury modules (for example, Microsoft Dynamics 365).
Automate cash visibility, payments, reconciliations and reporting to make the function faster and better controlled.
9. Team Leadership
Build, lead and mentor the treasury team, and set clear roles, responsibilities and performance expectations.
Guide Analysts and Associates on daily deliverables, quality and project management.
Shape the treasury operating model and improve processes continuously.
Work with Accounting, Tax, Legal, FP&A and Business teams.
Prerequisites
Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance and treasury concepts.
Hands-on experience in cash and liquidity management, banking, FX hedging and debt or funding transactions.
Working knowledge of FEMA/RBI rules and cross-border treasury operations. Exposure to US/UK structures is preferred.
Understanding of hedge accounting and financial instruments under Ind AS / IFRS / US GAAP.
Strong analytical, modelling and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to present to the CFO, Board and lenders.
Proven ability to lead teams and manage several stakeholders.
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP or treasury management systems is preferred.
Proactive, entrepreneurial, high integrity and willing to keep learning.
Experience
10–15 years of relevant experience in treasury, corporate finance or banking, including at least 3–5 years leading a treasury function or team. Experience in financial services or a multinational setting is preferred.
Education
Chartered Accountant (CA)
Compensation
In line with industry standards and based on experience.
