Role Description The Server Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India, responsible for managing and maintaining PRS INDIA’s server infrastructure and related systems. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring server performance, ensuring system uptime, performing regular backups, and applying security patches and updates. The role involves diagnosing and resolving server issues, managing user access, and coordinating with internal teams to support applications and services. The Server Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan capacity, optimize system configurations, and maintain documentation of server environments and procedures. This role also requires adherence to security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard organizational data and systems.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong technical skills in Linux server administration, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and security.
Candidates should possess troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving hardware, network, and application issues in a server environment.
Candidates should possess communication and customer service skills to support internal users, explain technical issues clearly, and coordinate with non-technical stakeholders.
Candidates should possess team leadership skills to guide technical initiatives, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a reliable IT operations environment.
Candidates should ideally have experience with backup and recovery solutions, virtualization or cloud platforms, and network and security fundamentals.
Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Delhi, manage multiple priorities, maintain clear documentation, and follow established IT policies and best practices.
