Software Development Engineer III – Gainsight & Data Migration
Experience: 7+ years
Location: Remote, Anywhere in India
Role Overview
We are looking for an SDE III with strong hands-on Gainsight and Data Migration expertise to support Gainsight NXT, Salesforce integrations, production support, and enterprise data migration initiatives.
The role will work closely with business, product, engineering, QA, and IT teams to design and implement scalable solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high-quality migration of data into Gainsight.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a technical SME for Gainsight NXT, including configuration, data models, workflows, rules, and integrations.
Lead end-to-end data migration activities including source analysis, extraction, mapping, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation.
Analyze source and target data structures and define field-level mappings and transformation rules.
Perform data cleansing, deduplication, validation, and resolution of data quality issues.
Develop SQL queries/scripts for data analysis, migration validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
Support integrations between Gainsight, Salesforce, and other enterprise systems using APIs and integration/ETL tools.
Troubleshoot production issues related to Gainsight, Salesforce, data synchronization, integrations, and data quality.
Perform root-cause analysis and work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Support migration testing, mock loads, cutover, post-migration validation, and production stabilization.
Design and implement Gainsight/Salesforce enhancements and support release management.
Create technical documentation, migration plans, mapping documents, and validation/reconciliation reports.
Provide technical guidance and mentor junior team members.
Must-Have Skills
7+ years of overall technology experience, with 3+ years of hands-on Gainsight experience.
Strong experience with Gainsight NXT; certification is a plus.
Proven experience in end-to-end data migration projects.
Strong understanding of data mapping, transformation, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and data quality.
Strong SQL skills.
Experience with Salesforce configuration, data models, APIs, and integrations.
Understanding of APIs, ETL/ELT, data integration, and synchronization patterns.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and managing production support.
Good to Have
Experience with Gainsight Custom Objects, Rules Engine, Data Designer, Journey Orchestrator, Scorecards, and Surveys.
Gainsight NXT Administrator Certification.
Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
Tableau experience.
Experience leading enterprise-scale migration or implementation projects.
