Job Title: Solar Site Engineer (3kW – 500kW Projects) Company: Samatha Green Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, Bharat Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Renewable Energy / Solar Power Projects Segments: Residential, C&I Job Summary: Samatha Green Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd is seeking a technically robust and hands-on Solar Site Engineer to lead the execution of residential and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar PV projects ranging from 3kW to 500kW. The ideal candidate will take absolute ownership of the site lifecycle—from initial feasibility and contractor guidance to advanced troubleshooting, utility liaisoning, and final client handover. We need a strong electrical professional who understands the science behind the system, enforces strict quality standards, and can independently drive a project to successful commissioning in Bharat. Key Responsibilities: • Site Assessment & Feasibility: Conduct preliminary site surveys, shadow analysis, roof assessments, and precise site demarcation to determine technical feasibility and layout viability. • Design Interpretation & Supervision: Read, interpret, and validate AutoCAD layouts, structural drawings, and complex Single Line Diagrams (SLDs). Supervise the team to ensure on-site execution strictly matches the approved engineering design. • Execution Quality & Guidance: Evaluate the daily installation of MMS, PV modules, string inverters, and AC/DC cabling. Provide hands-on guidance and course correction to civil/electrical contractors and daily wage laborers to ensure flawless execution. • Advanced Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Step in when the execution team is stuck to independently diagnose and resolve complex DC/AC ground faults, inverter errors, and grid synchronization issues. • Stage-Wise Approvals: Conduct rigorous internal quality checks to approve site execution milestones before moving to the next phase, preventing costly rework. • Pre-Commissioning & System Health: Execute pre-commissioning protocols utilizing meggers, earth resistance testers, and multi meters. Validate cable sizing, conduct system health checks, and identify any generation bottlenecks prior to grid integration. • Utility Liaisoning: Accompany and assist local state utility officials (e.g., BESCOM/KPTCL JE/AE) and electrical inspectorates during site inspections to drive Net-metering and liaisoning processes to completion. • RMS Setup & Client Handover: Configure, commission, and troubleshoot remote monitoring systems (RMS/Wi-Fi loggers) for major C&I string inverters. Manage the final technical handover and operational training for the customer. • Vendor & Supplier Management: Coordinate seamlessly with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely material availability, avoiding downtime and ensuring smooth project progression. • Safety & HSE Enforcement: Enforce uncompromising adherence to electrical safety protocols, use of PPEs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and height-safety standards to prevent on-site accidents. • Material Handling & Site Logistics: Verify inward material for transit damage (especially microcracks in modules), ensure secure and weatherproof on-site storage, and maintain strict inward/outward inventory registers. • On-Site Client Management: Act as the primary on-site representative for C& I clients. Coordinate roof access, schedule planned power shutdowns with facility managers to minimize business disruption, and handle daily client queries. • Documentation & Reporting: Submit accurate Daily Progress Reports (DPRs), sign off on Joint Measurement Records (JMRs) for sub-contractor billing, and mark up "As-Built" drawings if any on-the-fly design adaptations were made. Required Qualifications & Skills: • Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Electrical core is mandatory). • Experience: 3 to 4 years of hands-on site execution experience, including the independent management of at least two C&I projects above 100kW. • Core Technical Competency: Deep theoretical and practical understanding of solar PV architecture, advanced AC/DC electrical protection systems (breaker selection, IS/IEC standards), and load distribution frameworks. • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with state solar policies, net-metering regulations, CEIG/electrical inspectorate compliance, and DISCOM procedures in Karnataka. • Language: Proficiency in Kannada and English is highly preferred for local coordination and client interaction. • Mobility: Willingness to travel across Bengaluru and neighboring districts. A two-wheeler with a valid driving license is required. Salary & Benefits: • Competitive compensation package (commensurate with experience). • Travel and mobile allowances. • Opportunities for technical training and rapid career growth within the renewable energy sector.
