Job Summary
Responsible for managing daily yard operations, ensuring efficient fleet movement, timely vehicle turnaround, customer satisfaction, and compliance with operational processes, documentation, and settlements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily yard operations, including vehicle placement, loading, unloading, and turnaround time.
Coordinate with the control tower, transporters, and drivers to ensure smooth fleet movement.
Ensure timely collection of Proof of Delivery (POD) and accurate system updates.
Monitor fleet availability and vehicle readiness for loading and dispatch.
Handle customer communication, operational escalations, and issue resolution within defined timelines.
Supervise yard safety, maintenance, discipline, and operational compliance.
Ensure timely trip settlement, driver verification, and ledger updates.
Maintain accurate operational MIS reports and coordinate with Finance for cash and diesel reconciliation.
Identify process gaps and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and service levels.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Graduate in any discipline; Logistics or Supply Chain qualification preferred.
Relevant experience in yard, fleet, transportation, or logistics operations.
Knowledge of vehicle placement, trip settlement, POD management, and fleet coordination.
Proficiency in MS Excel and operational systems.
Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Vehicle turnaround time and fleet readiness.
Timely POD collection and system updates.
Trip settlement and ledger closure timelines.
Customer service levels and issue resolution.
Cash and diesel reconciliation accuracy.
Yard safety and process compliance.
