Role Description
Solinas Integrity is seeking a passionate and experienced individual for the role of Head of Mechanical Design. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. In this role, you will lead our mechanical design team, oversee the design and development of robotic solutions, and manage end-to-end product lifecycle processes. Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and create product design strategies, optimizing the design-to-production pipeline, and maintaining adherence to quality standards. You will also play a pivotal role in ensuring the feasibility and functionality of innovative solutions for underground asset management.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Design Management and Product Design, ensuring the ability to lead the design and development processes effectively
Proficient in Visual Design and Branding, with an understanding of how to create user-centered and aesthetically appealing product visuals
Skilled in Interior Design, especially for projects involving compact spaces and complex environments
Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional collaboration
Proficiency in relevant design software such as CAD tools and 3D modeling software
Strong problem-solving abilities and experience addressing real-world engineering challenges
Ability to lead multiple projects and meet strict deadlines while delivering high-quality solutions
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field
Familiarity with robotics, materials science, and ergonomics is an added advantage
Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive innovation and team collaboration
