About Sekuro
We're a founder-led global consulting company in the cybersecurity market, operating across Australia, Asia, and the UK. Our reputation is built on breaking away from traditional consulting models, embracing a direct and fresh approach that puts clients at the centre of everything we do. Our mission is simple: to be our clients' most trusted security partner by delivering impactful outcomes that build resilience, enable innovation, and improve competitiveness.
Our vision is to be the world's most trusted security partner, enabling organisations to protect today and prepare for tomorrow. We exist to secure organisations, empowering them to thrive in a digital world.
We live by our values: we are brave, we raise the bar, we tell it how it is, we own the outcome, and we care for all.
The Role
Ready to lead the engine room of our managed security services? We're on the hunt for an experienced technical leader to take the reins of our Security Platform Engineering and DevSecOps teams. This isn't a role for someone who likes to sit back and watch , you'll be hands-on, driving the platform engineering and software development capabilities that keep our security solutions robust, scalable, and ahead of the curve. You'll lead a crew of talented platform engineers and developers, keep our critical infrastructure humming, push innovation forward, and sharpen our DevSecOps practices, all while making sure resources are used smartly across both teams.
What You'll Do
On the technical side, you'll be the driving force behind platform engineering excellence and infrastructure reliability. That means leading DevSecOps practices and CI/CD, shaping and evolving our security platform architecture, and making the big technical calls that fuel innovation. You'll also keep us honest on ITSM SLAs, making sure we consistently deliver on our promises.
People leadership is where you'll really make your mark. You'll lead and grow our platform engineering and DevSecOps teams, build real career progression pathways, and create a culture where engineering excellence isn't just a buzzword, it's the norm. Expect to champion knowledge sharing and skill development, run Agile and SCRUM processes, own sprint planning and delivery, and manage resourcing and capacity across the board.
When it comes to keeping the lights on, you'll be laser-focused on platform availability and performance, chasing automation and efficiency wins wherever you can find them, and making sure change management actually works. You'll lead service improvement initiatives, tackle technical debt head-on, and keep our automation pipelines running like clockwork.
And because great engineering needs great planning, you'll own resource and capacity management too. That means building and maintaining capacity plans, optimising how the team's time is spent, forecasting what we'll need as we grow, and balancing competing priorities across projects and BAU, all while keeping an eye on cost and efficiency.
What You'll Need
You're someone who gets platform engineering, infrastructure reliability, and performance optimisation on a deep level, and you know your way around DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and secure development methodologies. You've got a solid grip on ITSM frameworks and SLA management, and you're fluent in Agile and SCRUM, both as a methodology and a mindset. Security architecture and scalable solutions aren't foreign concepts to you, they're your bread and butter, and you're the kind of leader who makes smart calls and drives innovation without needing to be asked twice.
You know how to build a culture where people want to share what they know and keep learning, and you're just as comfortable forecasting resourcing needs as you are rolling up your sleeves to solve a tricky technical problem. Above all, you lead with strong communication and genuine collaboration, because great outcomes come from great teams.
You'll bring at least four years of experience leading technical teams and five-plus years working within managed security service environments. You've also got the people skills to build real relationships, whether that's with your team, your peers, or clients.
