DevOps Engineer

About the Role -
At Healthify, we're building technology that helps millions of people live healthier lives. As we expand globally, our infrastructure is becoming more complex, spanning multiple cloud providers, geographic regions, and systems that need to operate reliably at scale.
We're looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who has experience building and managing real production infrastructure and is ready to take greater ownership.
You'll work across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and multi-cloud environments, solving challenges involving scalability, reliability, security, regional deployments, and data residency.
This role comes with significant responsibility and autonomy. We need someone who can independently investigate problems, design solutions, and take them to production with confidence.
What You'll Work On -
Cloud Infrastructure & Scalability
Design, deploy, manage, and optimize production infrastructure on AWS, including EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, load balancers, and other managed services.
Build scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and cost-efficient infrastructure.
Troubleshoot production incidents, performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure failures independently.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
Own infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform.
Build reusable modules, manage Terraform state, handle infrastructure drift, and implement safe deployment practices.
Automate repetitive operational tasks and ensure infrastructure changes are version-controlled, reviewed, and reproducible.
Kubernetes & CI/CD
Deploy, manage, scale, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
Implement safe deployment strategies, automated rollbacks, and efficient release workflows.
Multi-Cloud & Multi-Region Infrastructure
Work with infrastructure distributed across AWS and other cloud providers, including OCI, GCP, or Azure.
Contribute to multi-tenant architectures, regional deployments, workload isolation, and disaster recovery.
Manage cross-region connectivity, data replication, and transfer mechanisms while meeting data residency requirements.
Address challenges involving distributed systems, latency, availability, and data consistency.
Security, Compliance & Reliability
Implement infrastructure security best practices, including IAM, encryption, secrets management, network security, and audit logging.
Support compliance requirements such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and applicable data protection regulations.
Improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability.
Conduct root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures for production incidents.
Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, developer productivity, and cloud costs.
What We're Looking For -
3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
Strong production experience with AWS, including networking, compute, databases, security, and managed services.
Hands-on Terraform experience in production is mandatory. You should have personally written, deployed, and maintained infrastructure using Terraform.
Practical experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting Kubernetes and Docker workloads.
Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines and production deployment workflows.
Exposure to at least one additional cloud provider, such as OCI, GCP, or Azure, including hands-on infrastructure work.
Strong understanding of Linux, networking, DNS, load balancing, security, and cloud architecture fundamentals.
Experience working on production systems where reliability, scalability, and infrastructure changes have meaningful business impact.
Ability to independently own technical problems from investigation and design to deployment and verification.
Good to Have-
Programming or scripting experience with Python, Go, or Bash.
Understanding of backend development, APIs, databases, caching, and application architecture.
Experience with Redis, OpenSearch, message queues, or other managed services.
Exposure to multi-region deployments, data replication, disaster recovery, or multi-tenant infrastructure.
Familiarity with monitoring tools, cloud cost optimization, Helm, GitOps, or policy-as-code.
Experience implementing security controls in compliance-sensitive environments.

Want to grow quickly by taking on challenging problems and substantial technical responsibility.
This is not an entry-level DevOps role. We're looking for someone who already has practical production experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes. Certifications, courses, or personal projects alone will not substitute for hands-on production ownership.
You'll have a collaborative engineering team, but the expectation is that you can drive problems to completion without requiring detailed technical guidance at every step.

Within your first few months, you should be able to independently manage production infrastructure changes, troubleshoot incidents, improve automation and deployment reliability, and contribute to our multi-cloud and regional infrastructure initiatives.
We're looking for engineers who can explain what they built, why they built it that way, what went wrong, and how they handled it.
