About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Within Asia, Wealth Advisors serve as a senior specialist within an integrated team alongside Bankers, Investors, and Lending Advisors. The role is highly collaborative and requires strong client leadership, commercial partnership, and the ability to drive complex planning processes from discovery through execution. Wealth Advisors do not provide formal tax or legal advice and do not charge advisory fees. Instead, they partner closely with clients’ independent tax and legal advisors, trustees, and relevant service providers to coordinate analyses, align stakeholders, and organize documentation in preparation for client meetings and implementation.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as a senior advisor to UHNW clients on wealth planning matters relating to global wealth, assets, residency considerations, and cross-border activities.
Lead and support UHNW families in navigating complex planning objectives, including intergenerational succession, structuring and estate planning, relocation and immigration considerations, asset protection, family governance, and philanthropic strategy.
Identify and articulate client needs and deliver solutions through an appropriate range of planning tools, including trusts, foundations, companies, private funds, partnerships, contractual arrangements, and insurance solutions.
Facilitate the design, execution planning, and implementation of solutions in partnership with internal stakeholders (including ITS, Bankers, Investors, Lending Advisors, and Trust & Estate Officers) and external parties such as law firms, fiduciary service providers, trustees, and brokers.
Provide leadership, training, coaching, and technical guidance to junior staff; share market trends and best practices with client-facing teams to elevate overall planning capability.
Travel with Bankers to engage clients and prospects, acting as a senior specialist in high-impact client discussions and new business opportunities.
Support the coordination of commercial efforts across the integrated team, ensuring planning solutions are aligned with client objectives, platform capabilities, and risk governance expectations.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Tax, Accounting.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in taxation, estate planning, trusts, and transactional/structuring matters, with demonstrated ability to operate at a senior client-advisory level.
Deep cross-border planning expertise, including familiarity with offshore structures commonly used in UHNW planning, and strong interest in global trends and regulatory developments.
Strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations relevant to UHNW planning (e.g., taxation, trusts, foreign investment, succession and inheritance), with the ability to translate complexity into clear client outcomes.
General working knowledge of trust and company administration matters, documentation processes, and implementation procedures.
Strong understanding of individual, fiduciary, corporate, and partnership income tax concepts, and the ability to apply this knowledge (within role boundaries) to client-specific planning discussions.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate wealth transfer goals, identify appropriate planning techniques, communicate options effectively to clients and prospects, and coordinate implementation with clients’ external advisors.
Strong risk and controls mindset, with consistent attention to governance, documentation discipline, suitability, and escalation standards.
Proven ability to partner effectively with clients’ professional advisors (primarily attorneys, accountants, trustees, and fiduciary administrators).
Strong team orientation and ability to influence across a matrix organization; exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills essential for success in the role.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
Appropriate local regulatory qualifications and licenses (as applicable).
Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines across Hong Kong and the Philippines.
Demonstrated understanding of broader wealth management disciplines, including investments and credit, and the ability to integrate planning considerations into holistic client solutions.
