Job Description
ODE Consultants is seeking an experienced Tekla Structures RC Detailer / BIM Modeler to join our structural engineering and BIM team.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in reinforced concrete (RC) modeling, reinforcement detailing, and preparation of construction drawings using Tekla Structures.
We are looking for a technically competent professional who can independently handle RC detailing assignments, deliver accurate and coordinated models and drawings, and contribute to the development of efficient Tekla-based detailing workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed 3D reinforced concrete structural models using Tekla Structures.
Perform reinforcement modeling and detailing for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, staircases, and other RC structural elements.
Prepare reinforcement drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, sections, and construction details.
Generate bar bending schedules (BBS), reinforcement quantity reports, and material schedules directly from Tekla models.
Interpret structural design drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.
Ensure accurate reinforcement placement, including bar spacing, anchorage, laps, development lengths, and concrete cover.
Identify and resolve reinforcement clashes, congestion, and constructability issues.
Coordinate with structural engineers, BIM teams, and other project stakeholders.
Perform quality checks on models, drawings, and schedules to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Support the development of Tekla modeling standards, drawing templates, and efficient RC detailing workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
4–10 years of relevant experience in structural modeling and RC detailing, with substantial hands-on experience using Tekla Structures.
Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for reinforced concrete modeling and reinforcement detailing.
Proven experience in producing reinforcement drawings, BBS, and construction documentation using Tekla.
Sound understanding of reinforced concrete detailing principles and construction practices.
Ability to independently interpret structural drawings and deliver detailing assignments.
Familiarity with reinforcement detailing standards and practices.
Good coordination, problem-solving, and quality-control skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in complex RC structures and reinforcement arrangements.
Knowledge of Tekla custom components, drawing templates, numbering, and automated drawing generation.
Experience in BIM-based structural coordination and multidisciplinary projects.
Ability to establish and improve RC modeling and detailing workflows.
Experience in guiding junior detailers or supporting team development.
