Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Aided Design (CAD) Designer role based in Mumbai. The CAD Designer will translate design concepts and sketches into detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for various jewelry pieces, ensuring technical accuracy and manufacturability. Responsibilities include preparing construction drawings, refining designs based on feedback from designers and production teams, and maintaining organized digital design files. The role involves collaborating with design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to address technical constraints, optimize designs for production, and support prototyping and sample development. The CAD Designer will also review designs for quality, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines, while meeting project timelines and production schedules.
Qualifications
Strong technical drawing and construction drawings skills for precise, production-ready jewelry designs.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and applications commonly used in jewelry design.
Ability to interpret and develop design engineering specifications into practical, manufacturable models.
Solid foundation in drawing and visual representation to translate creative concepts into detailed designs.
Relevant experience in jewelry CAD design or product design, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Attention to detail, strong spatial and dimensional awareness, and commitment to design accuracy.
Effective collaboration skills and ability to communicate clearly with design and production teams.
Diploma or degree in Jewelry Design, Mechanical Design, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred.
