About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with multiple clients to maintain, develop, and enhance their applications, providing both technical expertise and consultancy. Your influence will help shape the future direction of client projects, ensuring innovative solutions that meet their evolving needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing software solutions using C#/.NET, writing custom code, and supporting our clients through innovative technology initiatives. You will play a key role in modernizing legacy applications, following best practice guidelines, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our development standards. Additionally, you will create comprehensive documentation with the end-user in mind, ensuring clarity and usability for all stakeholders involved.
This role requires a proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. You will also have opportunities to lead escalations, mentor junior team members, and influence project outcomes, making a tangible impact on client success and satisfaction.
Qualifications
Current experience with .NET / C# and ASP.NET development
Proficiency in JavaScript and SQL
Eligible to work in the SC (Secure Certification) scheme
Experience working within a team environment
Ability to provide a senior presence during escalations
Extensive experience with large data transformations and integrations, including data service extracts and report generation
Experience developing multi-bus messaging systems and microservices architecture
Knowledge of orchestration and transformation processes
Hands-on experience with continuous integration, unit testing, and automation
Awareness of the wider Microsoft technology stack and related tools
Additional desirable skills include strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with clients to understand their technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions
Develop, test, and support applications using C#/.NET, ensuring high quality and performance standards
Modernize legacy systems by implementing innovative solutions and best practices
Create detailed documentation and user guides to facilitate smooth adoption and ongoing support
Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and project planning sessions to ensure alignment and quality
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly and efficiently
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance during project escalations
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and standards
Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and refine application functionalities
This role demands a proactive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment. You will be expected to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to bring innovative ideas to client projects.
