About VE3
VE3 is an IT consulting and technology services business delivering enterprise platforms, cloud, data, AI, digital engineering and managed services. Our sector priorities include public sector, energy and utilities, health and life sciences, and education and research. Alongside client delivery, we develop our own products and reusable accelerators.
The opportunity
We are looking for a commercially minded, technically credible alliance leader to grow VE3’s business through technology partnerships. You will turn our delivery experience into stronger vendor relationships, recognised capabilities, joint propositions and qualified sales opportunities, while personally overseeing the programme operations that support those outcomes.
Oracle, SAP, Microsoft and AWS are immediate priorities, backed by significant VE3 project activity. Your remit also covers our wider platform and partner portfolio, including IBM, Google Cloud, Salesforce, Netcall, Databricks, Snowflake and UiPath, together with new partnerships that offer a clear business case.
You will develop alliance plans and remain closely involved in execution: managing partner profiles and qualification plans, engaging vendor account teams, progressing joint opportunities and coordinating internal owners. You will work with sales, practice leads, delivery, product, marketing and finance, and develop relationships with complementary software providers, consultancies and specialist delivery partners.
Requirements
Principal responsibilities
Alliance strategy and portfolio development
Develop annual business plans for priority alliances, with target sectors, joint offerings, account priorities, capability requirements, investment and measurable commercial outcomes. Assess partnership value and focus resources on relationships that support VE3’s growth strategy.
Vendor relationships and sponsorship
Build relationships across partner development, enterprise sales, industry, technical and marketplace teams. Connect India, UK and other relevant vendor country teams to support VE3’s target markets. Understand vendor incentives, establish executive sponsorship and regular business reviews, and develop relationships with the people who shape customer opportunities.
Joint sales and revenue growth
Work with VE3 sales and vendor teams on account mapping, opportunity identification, referrals and joint pursuits. Own partner opportunity registration and follow-through where applicable. Agree pursuit responsibilities, maintain accurate CRM records and help convert vendor engagement into proposals, wins and expansion opportunities.
Principal responsibilities continued
Partner programme ownership
Own partner portals, directory listings, company profiles, account structures, renewals, permissions and programme calendars. Maintain accurate scorecards and evidence records, monitor changing requirements, and resolve gaps or data discrepancies with vendor support teams. Coordinate correct project and customer associations where required and authorised.
Qualifications And Technical Capability
Build certification, accreditation, designation and specialisation roadmaps with practice leads. Track skills coverage, expiry dates, technical validations and customer evidence. Coordinate assessments and audits, and ensure that claimed capabilities reflect demonstrable delivery experience. Set priorities against commercial value and delivery readiness.
Joint propositions and product partnerships
Package VE3 services, products and accelerators into propositions that vendor sellers can explain and position. Work with technical and product teams on architecture alignment, integrations, repeatable delivery approaches and supporting evidence. Evaluate suitable marketplace listings and sales routes, coordinating commercial, technical and operational readiness before launch.
Funding and programme benefits
Identify relevant training benefits, marketing support, assessment and proof-of-concept funding, incentives and other programme opportunities. Manage eligibility checks, applications, approvals, claims and evidence with finance and delivery teams. Track utilisation and return on investment, including the cost of maintaining qualifications.
Partner marketing and customer evidence
Work with marketing and delivery to develop approved case studies, partner content, joint campaigns, events and reference opportunities. Secure appropriate customer permissions and vendor approvals. Connect activity to target accounts and measurable pipeline, and distinguish completed delivery, proofs of concept and developing offerings accurately.
Wider ecosystem and commercial collaboration
Identify complementary partners that strengthen market access or delivery capability. Develop joint offerings and bid relationships, clarifying roles, opportunity ownership and commercial principles. Coordinate agreements, licensing and marketplace economics with the relevant commercial, finance and legal owners.
Governance and internal coordination
Establish a single view of partner relationships, commitments, programme health, investment and commercial results. Assign actions across practice leads, sales, product and marketing, escalate dependencies and report progress to leadership. Maintain clear definitions of partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline to prevent double-counting.
Technical understanding
You should be comfortable discussing enterprise applications, ERP and CRM, cloud migration, integration, data platforms, AI, security and managed services with architects and vendor teams. You must understand how skills, delivery evidence, technical validation and customer adoption support partner recognition and growth. Specialist architecture decisions will remain with technical leads; you will coordinate the expertise needed to make alliance plans deliverable.
Essential
Experience and capabilities
Substantial experience in technology alliances, partner development or channel growth within an IT consultancy, systems integrator, managed services provider, software business or enterprise technology vendor. Typically 10 or more years of relevant experience, including significant ownership of alliance outcomes.
Deep, direct experience with at least two of Oracle, SAP, Microsoft and AWS, and a working understanding of the other priority ecosystems. Evidence of developing additional technology partnerships is important.
Personal ownership of partner programme operations, including portals, profiles, qualification requirements, certification planning, renewals, performance reporting and supporting evidence.
