About the Opportunity:
The SENIOR RUBY ON RAILS ENGINEER role focuses on developing and maintaining scalable backend applications to support the AI companionship platform. This hands-on engineering position is responsible for delivering high-quality features and improvements, collaborating closely with product and engineering leadership to translate requirements into technical solutions that impact millions of users.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails backend applications.
Build new features and enhance existing platform functionality.
Translate product requirements into technical solutions and estimate development efforts.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested production code.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical decision-making.
Troubleshoot and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with distributed engineering, product, and infrastructure teams.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of commercial backend or full-stack software engineering experience.
Strong, recent, hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments.
Proven ability to build and scale production applications with real users.
Ownership of features from requirements through deployment.
Experience in fast-paced environments such as startups or scale-ups.
Strong problem-solving skills balancing code quality and delivery speed.
Excellent English communication skills and experience working with international teams.
Comfort working with explicit NSFW content in AI companionship products.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
Salary range from
75,000 to
105,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
B2B contract preferred with flexible arrangements.
