Electrical Estimator
Are you ready to drive the financial and technical blueprint for some of the largest data centers, high-rises, and commericial facilities in the nation?
Does the idea of joining a family-owned, financially rock-solid industry leader that has been shaping the American landscape since the 1950’s sound like the right career move for you?
Do you want to work for an organization where safety, integrity, passion, and providing true value to clients aren’t just buzzwords, but the foundation of their success?
If so, look no further…
A meticulous and highly collaborative position has arisen for an Electrical Estimator to join a top-tier commercial and industrial construction company ranked among the very best in the country.
Reporting directly to the Estimating Leadership Team, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary pre-construction division at any of their regional offices. Your core responsibility will be the accurate, comprehensive, and timely preparation of commercial construction project proposals, material take-offs, and competitive bids across a diverse multi-market portfolio.
Why the Electrical Estimator position is something you should apply for:
Scope for Growth: As an Estimator, you are stepping into a defined career pathway where you will own complex estimates from start to finish, opening doors to a Chief Electrical Estimator role.
Company Trajectory: This is a family-owned national powerhouse with massive personnel resources, equipment, and significant bonding capacity, offering immense stability and a booming pipeline across commercial, federal, tech, and industrial sectors.
Diverse Market Exposure: You won't be pigeonholed. This role collaborates on high-profile projects ranging from massive data centers and advanced gaming/hospitality structures to complex federal/military builds.
Culture & Environment: The culture is built on client relationships and constant team communication. You’ll be stepping into a supportive, professional office environment that values precision, detail-oriented minds, and everyday safety.
Leadership & Strategy: You will report to seasoned estimating directors who champion a value-add approach, offering you a collaborative sounding board to master advanced pricing models and risk-management strategies.
The successful Electrical Estimator will:
Hold a B.S. Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, paired with 3+ years of General Contractor experience.
Bring a well-rounded base of knowledge across construction disciplines, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately compute labor, material, and time costs (with civil estimating experience being highly preferred).
Demonstrate exceptional prioritization, organizational skills, and a sharp attention to detail when studying proposals, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Successfully deliver key pre-construction milestones, including visiting project sites to assess field conditions, building preliminary schedules, and collaborating with teams to finalize total pricing.
Possess strong working proficiency in specialized estimating software like Cost-OS, OST, and Planswift, alongside core tools like Bluebeam, Excel, and Word. (Note: Physical requirements include the ability to walk, stand, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs during site visits in varying weather conditions).
In return, the successful individual will receive an attractive compensation package consisting of:
Salary: Highly competitive base salary (commensurate with experience).
Bonus: Eligibility for corporate Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) based on personal performance, division performance and company performance
Paid Time Off: Comprehensive annual leave package, including standard holidays and sick leave.
Healthcare: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits program for employee health and wellness.
