MEP Design Engineer

The MEPF Design Engineer provides technical and drafting support for the preparation and documentation of MEPF system designs. This role involves creating layouts, assisting in BOQ preparation, coordinating with consultants, and ensuring technical documentation is properly maintained and version-controlled.
MEPF Design Engineer
Drafting and Drawing Preparation:
Prepare, review and coordinate AutoCAD drawings for electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and HVAC systems based on design guidelines and engineer inputs.
Update and revise drawings based on review comments or site feedback.
Annotate drawings with appropriate symbols, scales, and notes as per company standards.
BOQ and Documentation Support:
Assist in preparing, reviewing and checking quantity take-offs and preliminary BOQs for MEPF systems.
Support the compilation of tender documents and design reports.
Technical Assistance:
Assist the Incharge in preparing equipment sizing, layout options, and load calculations.
Coordinate with consultants to gather drawing inputs and maintain drawing logs and version control.
Drawing Review and Record-Keeping:
Cross-check tender drawings against final IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings to track updates and changes.
Maintain organized folders for approved and working design files across all systems.
Coordination Assistance:
Participate in design coordination meetings and take notes on drawing or scope changes.
Follow up with consultants and vendors to gather technical documentation, catalogues, and certifications.

Qualifications and Experience
Educational Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Work Experience (Range of years):
5-8 Years
Preferred Industry:
Experience in real estate projects in MEPF design management roles, preferable with developer firm experience and/or good consulting firms
Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary design coordination, national codes, and building services integration.
Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Revit MEPF, and MS Project/Primavera.
