Architectural Draftsperson (Residential & Commercial Projects)

An architecture and design practice in Himayat Sagar Village is looking for an Architectural Draftsperson with 1–4 years of experience and strong hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD. The role focuses on preparing accurate 2D architectural and civil drawings, developing working drawings for execution, and coordinating drawings across architectural, plumbing and electrical disciplines.
Project Exposure
The role involves working on architectural and construction documentation, with exposure to:
Architectural planning and layouts
Civil and architectural working drawings
Plumbing layouts and service drawings
Electrical layouts and wiring drawings
Construction detailing and execution documentation
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate 2D drawings in AutoCAD, including plans, floor layouts and working drawings.
Develop floor plans and general arrangement drawings from design inputs and sketches.
Prepare plumbing drawings, including piping layouts, schematics and fixture details.
Prepare electrical drawings, including layouts, wiring diagrams and point/circuit details.
Convert design concepts and site sketches into detailed, execution-ready drawings.
Coordinate architectural, plumbing and electrical drawings to identify and resolve drawing conflicts.
Prepare sections and construction details required for site execution.
Update and revise drawings based on site feedback and design changes while maintaining revision control.
Maintain organised drawing files, layers and drafting standards.
Requirements
Bachelors/ Diploma in Architecture/ Civil Engineering is required.
Candidates with a Diploma in Civil Engineering and strong AutoCAD drafting experience may also be considered.
1–4 years of relevant experience in 2D architectural or civil drafting and working drawings.
Strong hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD.
Ability to prepare floor plans, layout plans and general arrangement drawings.
Working knowledge of plumbing drawings, including piping layouts and fixture placement.
Working knowledge of electrical drawings, including wiring and layout diagrams.
Strong understanding of working drawings and construction detailing.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Good understanding of building materials and construction methods.
Ability to independently develop, revise and maintain 2D drawing sets.
Strong attention to drafting accuracy and drawing coordination.
Work Schedule
Location: Anand Nagar Colony, Himayat Sagar Village, Hyderabad
Working days: Monday - Saturday (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
