Claim Analyst

Analyse charterparties and all related shipping documents and create and compute demurrage and shipping-related claims with shipowners;
Review charterparty related demurrage and shipping costs claims received;
Analyse sale contracts and all related documents (including GTCs) and create and compute demurrage and shipping related claims with counterparties, including suppliers, receivers and terminals;
Review demurrage and sales contract related demurrage and shipping costs claims received;
Counter and negotiate settlements; Liaise with the internal business where required;
Develop and maintain strong relationships both with counterparties and with the internal business;
Assist in regularly reporting outstanding positions to Management;
Keep abreast of industry developments and legal case law to ensure charterparty and/or trading terms are relevant and updated.
At least 3 years of working experience in demurrage/ claims (ideally in both charterparty and sale contract claims) handling the whole spread of demurrage claims across the full value range
Tertiary education - Polytechnic Diploma and above
Recent graduates with at least a Diploma in Maritime studies or equivalent are welcome to apply
Have the right to work in Singapore

Good communication skills, both oral and written
